Yes, Jazz Attack Performing Arts offers private lessons in dance. This is done on a case-by-case basis and is dependent on availability of staff. Private lessons could include, catching up on missed lessons, extension classes in technique or acrobatics and more.
Competition routines/privates' lessons are handed out to students' who have great attendance, commitment, effort, and goals as well as the availability of staff and studio space.
At Jazz Attack we strive to create a professional but fun environment. Students in competition classes are asked to wear Jazz Attack attire to all classes. Students enrolled in recreational classes have the option to wear Jazz Attack attire or anything red, black and white.
It is important that clothing matches the style of dance. For example, those in Acrobatics, ballet and lyrical require tighter fitted clothes to assist with spotting and bodylines.

In our experience preschoolers can concentrate better without the distraction of other noise in the room from parents and other siblings. Our program has been endorsed by leading childcare experts who support the independent learning model. As preschoolers participate in classes, they have the opportunity to develop additional secure attachments with adults (teachers) and peers.
This helps them transition positively into the larger world and helps with school readiness. Having said that, a lot of children are timid at first and need to know that a parent is close by. Our program allows parents to watch the first class if necessary to help them adjust.
All teachers have their Working with Children Check (or equivalent) and follow the program that is endorsed by early learning experts. Ready Set Dance teachers are required to gain their certification from Ready Set Dance head office before delivering the program.
All our teachers have a variety of qualifications from Teachers Certificates to Certificate IV's, please visit out information guide for more information.
All our staff are first aid qualified.
Students must wear the Ready Set Dance uniform. However, we need to make sure we are the right fit for you and your child before committing to anything. Comfortable clothes and sneakers are fine for the first couple of lessons. Once your child has settled you can purchase the official Ready Set Dance uniform at reception which we are sure you will love.
Watching day is where parents get to view their child dance as an audience in the classroom. It’s a chance for your child to begin their first step to working on their performance skills.
You may swap days during Terms 1, 2 and 3 if you miss a class (if the make-up class is not full). In term 4, each class works on a different routine for the end-of-year concert, and it is too confusing for students to be swapping days. We do recommend that you avoid alternating days too much as preschoolers need the comfort of knowing that the same teacher and their friends will be there when they go to dancing.
Ready Set Dance airs on Nick Jr and Paramount Plus. You can also catch us on YouTube and the Nick Jr Play App. The Show has been so popular that it is now airing in 120 countries all over the world. Preschoolers love to dance along to their favourite songs from the TV show in their classes every week.
Ready Set Move is an inclusive program that welcomes all grown-ups. Mums, dads, grandparents and special friends can all join in the fun. We do ask that only ONE grown up accompanies each toddler to help us abide by space restrictions and requirements. Grown-ups need to be physically able to sit on the ground, get up and down off the floor and lead toddlers through the exercises.
This program is designed for toddlers/preschoolers from walking age to 3 years who are more comfortable attending class with a grown up.

The beginning of the class is the most structured part of the lesson. This circle time includes knee bounce nursery rhymes, the stretchy band, parachute fun and even some toddler aerobics. The next part of the class is a time for toddlers to be creative and use their imaginations playing instruments and our favourite themed dice game. In the third part toddlers love to crawl through tunnels, balance on beams and explore a variety of different activities around the room. The class concludes with a calm and connect song with our giant feathers or bubbles leading into sticker time.
The class has been created by experienced dance professionals, professional songwriters and early learning experts. There are benefits in every song! Our original mirror song is designed to teach toddlers the 16 hand gestures they should be developing by 16 months.
