Certificate courses are delivered on behalf of the Australian Teachers of Dancing, under a formal partnership arrangement.
This qualification reflects the role of a person working or training in a varied context in the live performance industry. Individuals are expected to demonstrate application of foundation skills and knowledge for routine activities expected to dance and live performance contexts.
Certificate III in Dance is open for all dancers aged 15+ or Year 11 and above. The certificate is designed to give you a more professional approach and path into the industry, and can further path dancers to a Certificate IV or Diploma in Dance or dance management. The certificate is nationally recognised.
Dancers must participate in a weekly classical class and training up to 6 hours a week in other styles. Dancers must also participate in weekly book sessions and Friday training from 8:30-5:30pm.
this qualification is a preparatory qualification that allows learners to develop basic techniques, skills and knowledge to prepare for work in the live performance industry.
The Certificate II in Dance is open for dancers aged 14+ of year 10 and above with previous or current knowledge in dance. The certificate is national recognised training program and helps dancers develop industry-specific workplace skills in Dance that may led to basic level industry opportunities or further education in the dance industry.
Dancers must particiapte in a weekly classical class and train up to 4 hours a week in other styles. Dancers must also particpate in a least 2-4 hours of book work a week at home and train Fridays from 12:00-5:30pm.
